ServicesRoof Replacement
Roof Replacement in Blanchard, OK
When patching no longer keeps up, we take your roof down to the deck and build it back properly. Landscaping is covered before tear-off begins, debris goes straight into the trailer, and the yard is swept every evening until the last shingle is on.

Knowing when a new roof makes sense
Replacing the roof is the right move when the trouble covers the whole surface instead of a single area. Bald shingles worn down to the asphalt, sheathing that flexes underfoot on more than one slope, or a third patch near an old one all tell the same story. At that point a repair holds for a season or two at most.
We strip the roof to bare wood, swap out any rotted boards and build the new roof as one connected system. The underlayment, flashing, vents and shingles are selected to perform together. If your roof still has good years left, we will say so and steer you to roof repair.
Homeowners tend to recall the care taken around their property as much as the roof itself. Our aim is for your home to look just as it did before we arrived, except for what is overhead.
Everything that goes into the new roof
- Stripping the old roof
- All the old shingles and felt come off until bare wood is showing. Covering an old roof with new shingles conceals damage and cuts years off the new one.
- Sheathing replacement
- Plywood that is spongy, peeling apart or stained by water gets cut out and swapped for new boards. You get photos of each section before it disappears under underlayment.
- Synthetic felt and leak barrier
- Every square foot of decking is wrapped in a synthetic underlayment before shingles go on. Valleys, eaves and the areas around chimneys and pipes also get a self-adhering leak barrier, since that is where water lingers longest.
- Fresh flashing and attic airflow
- Drip edge, step flashing, pipe boots and vents are all new, never salvaged. Matching intake at the soffits with exhaust at the ridge keeps the attic cooler in an Oklahoma summer so the shingles wear at an even pace.
- Laying the shingles
- Architectural asphalt shingles are nailed in the pattern the manufacturer specifies, beginning with a starter course at the edges and finishing with matching ridge cap. If hail is a concern, impact-rated shingles are an option.
- Cleanup at the end of each day
- Before we leave, scrap goes into the trailer, grit is flushed from the gutters and a magnet is rolled across the grass, the planting beds and the driveway.
How to tell your roof has reached its end
Grit piling up at the downspouts
Coarse, dark sand washing out of the gutters is the shingles' mineral coating coming loose. Once the asphalt is exposed, sun and heat wear it down fast.
Shingles that cup or split
Corners that lift upward and tabs cracked through the middle can no longer lie flat and sealed. Each storm's wind catches them and pries them up a little more.
Water marks or light in the attic
Stained rafters, wet insulation or small spots of daylight showing through the boards mean water is already making it past the shingles.
A roof that dips
A low spot between rafters usually points to sheathing that has soaked up moisture for years. The fix is new wood, not one more patch.
The same leaks returning
When you have paid to fix the same slope two or three times, that money is usually better spent on a roof that is solid from the wood up.
How your replacement unfolds
- 1
Roof visit and itemized estimate
We go up on the roof, look through the attic and take photos as we go. The written estimate breaks out materials, sheathing work, haul-off and cleanup on separate lines, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
- 2
Picking your shingles
We bring samples to your home and compare color, profile and vent options outdoors next to your siding and trim. If the city requires a permit, we pull it.
- 3
Covering the property
First thing on day one, tarps go over shrubs and beds, outdoor equipment is covered, and the trailer is placed where it is easiest on your lawn. It helps to take pictures and mirrors off upstairs walls, since the vibration of tear-off can shake them loose.
- 4
Removing and rebuilding
We open and close the roof in sections, so no bare decking sits exposed overnight. A typical single-family home takes one to three days, depending on roof size and the weather.
- 5
Last sweep and walk-around
Tarps come up, the magnet makes a final pass across the yard, and we walk the property together. We answer your questions right there.

What sets the cost of your new roof
We price each roof from measurements and what we actually see on it, never from a flat figure. Your estimate lists every item separately. If rotten sheathing shows up once the old shingles are off, we stop, show you photos and give you the added cost before any of it is replaced.
- Square footage and slope
- A bigger roof takes more shingles, underlayment and hours. A steep pitch calls for harnesses and roof jacks, and the crew moves more carefully on it.
- How many old layers
- Some homes carry a second layer of shingles laid over the first. Stripping both adds labor and adds weight to the haul-off.
- What the decking looks like
- Solid plywood adds nothing to the bill. Sheets that are soft or peeling apart get replaced one at a time, and the photos let you see each one.
- The materials you pick
- Architectural shingles, impact-rated shingles and premium underlayment sit at different price points. We walk you through what each one does for your home so the choice is yours to make clearly.
- Chimneys, skylights and valleys
- Every penetration and change in roof plane needs its own flashing and slower hand work, which shows up in the labor line.
Common questions about roof replacement
Something not covered here? (405) 805-8344
How can I tell if I need a whole new roof or only a repair?
We check the full roof, not just the spot that leaked. When the shingles still hold their granules and the sheathing is firm, a repair usually gives you more for the money. When the wear runs across several slopes or the decking is giving way, replacement is the straight answer. Either way you see the photos we took.
Does homeowners insurance cover a roof replacement?
It depends on your policy and on what caused the damage. Hail and wind are commonly covered, while normal aging generally is not. We record the damage with photos and can meet the adjuster on the roof, but your insurer decides the coverage. Our storm damage repair page goes further into how claims work.
Is it all right to lay new shingles over my existing ones?
It is a shortcut we do not recommend. A second layer traps more heat, puts extra weight on the rafters and hides boards that may already be soft. With everything removed down to the wood, we can replace what has failed and set the new roof on a flat, solid base.
Does someone need to be at home while you work?
Only at certain points. We ask for someone on the first morning and again for the closing walk-through. Please move vehicles off the driveway, and keep pets inside or elsewhere while the old roof comes off.
Will there be nails left in my yard?
We sweep the grass, beds and driveway with a rolling magnet every evening, not just on the last day. The tarps over your landscaping catch most falling debris before it ever touches the ground.
